Universal Studios Home Entertainment is modding the DeLorean for DVD again. This time there will be more bonus features plus an experience that has been missed.
Back to the Future Part II and Back to the Future Part III are the same discs as before so no changes there. Not even the original Dolby Surround tracks are included.
Back to the Future overloads Mr. Fusion with a two disc special edition.
Disc One is the same disc as before. Yep, still no original soundmix just the 5.1 remix.
Disc Two is where all the action is:
Back to the Future: The Ride
-Removed from Universal Studios Hollywood to make way for The Simpsons' Ride, experience this ride at home almost like the theme park. You don't have to worry about long lines because you get all the footage from the lobby monitor and the ride is duplicated exactly down to the gauges and instrument panel.
Looking Back to the Future
-An all-new retrospective multi-part documentary on Back to the Future featuring interviews with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
Back to the Future Night
-This television special aired November 17, 1989 on NBC and was hosted by Leslie Nielsen. This exclusive television documentary was used to promote Back to the Future Part II. Its also the source of the infamous "hoverboards are real" urban legend that still haunts Mattel Inc.
Michael J. Fox Q&A
-This intimate interview with Fox was used to create the 'Enhanced Conversation with Michael J. Fox' feature on Disc One. Fans can now view this piece in one uninterrupted sequence.
All three discs will retail for $19.98 US each but no complete set will be available. They come back to Lone Pine Mall or you local retailers on February 10th, 2009.
