I usually know these ahead of time but I was surprised by my copy of Futurama: Bender's Game. I purchased the BD from Wherehouse.com and opened it up to find four premium postcards inside the case.

The postcards are nice and feature new reproductions of two Futurama scenes and two Futurama propaganda poster reproductions. The back of each states you can buy larger gallery versions of each...at $450 US!!!

I thought it was a nice little bonus with the already extra packed BD.

Watching it now and the video is pretty darn good. The film's best part is the incredible dts HD Master Audio track. I've changed my setup with my PS3 jacked directly into my reciever via optical and the dts 5.1 core is agressive with great use of surround effects and ambience. The opening will punish your subwoofer and bring your ears to the point of bleeding.

Fox has even included a BD exclusive BonusView video commentary but I have yet to view this. You'll need a Profile 1.1 player to view this but the menu lets you choose audio or audio & video.

I didn't even pay attention, but now that you mention it, yes there are indeed postcards in the box, neatly stacked and with a little wrapping band.

Thanks Guido for the confirmation. I just finished the BonusView commentary and its pretty nice albeit a little disappointing. Its video footage of the commentary sessions, we do get to see John Di Maggio and Billy West doing some of the voices on the spot along with other impersonations. Sadly, to video window is small compared to Young Frankenstein and Transformers.

There are two hidden gems in the special features menu. The second page has an outtake with Billy West as Professor Farnsworth and the third page has David X. Cohen outing himself as a Dungeons & Dragon fanatic.

A very funny parody of the international anti-piracy spots starring Bender as well as a trailer for ...Into The Wild Green Yonder finish out the basic bonus features.

The best special feature is Dungeons & Dragons and Futurama which has three of the filmmakers discuss the origin of Bender's Game as well as show off some of the references to Dungeons & Dragons in the show. This is presented in high-definition and the original show clips are HD 1.33.

You also get How to Draw Futurama in 83 Easy Steps featurette which is also HD.

All said, this is a terrific Blu-ray Disc and hopefully, the previous films will be remastered for BD in time for ...Into The Wild Green Yonder.
