Want to use computer LCD for TV.

I have an LCD monitor from a computer that I'd like to use as a TV. I found out that I need a scan converter to use the VGA input. The monitor also has a DVI input. Can I use the DVI out of a DVD player directly into the monitor? Will I still need a scan converter?

You won't need a scan converter. A scan converter is only needed if you have an analog NTSC signal. If you use the DVI input/output you're all digital and the way to go.
