Warner Home Video has announced the Blu-ray Disc for Beetlejuice, the film hits high-def with newly remastered picture and sound.
Sadly, none of the cast or crew returns to look back on the film 20 years later. Instead, selected episodes from the animated series produced by Tim Burton and David Geffen are included on this new Deluxe Edition.

Dolby Digital: English 5.1 Surround
3 Episodes from the Beetlejuice Animated Series (480i, 4x3)
Premium Soundtrack CD Sampler
You can summon him on September 16th. Retail is $34.99 US.

Damn, what is wrong with Warner? They pulled this "Deluxe Edition" crap with the Ace Ventura double feature special editions. Ok, at least the picture and sound will be better but man $30 for BD that is not up to Warner's high standards just stinks.
I expect this from Fox but Warner? Uggh.
