Diary of the Dead-- George Romero

This releases on dvd this week. I believe it went straight to dvd which tends to make me nervous.

The commercial I saw last night seemed decent.

Anyone going to pick this one up?

i saw a screening a few months ago (it had a small theatrical run in select cities)...i liked it. nothing amazing or groundbreaking about it, but i enjoyed it. some fun moments and good new kills.

It was reviewed today on Attack of the Show - the movie geek guy liked it, said there is a lot of CG stuff in it?

blockbuster is selling it and I'm going to pick it up tomorrow, walmart did not have it.

I didn't like it that well,I thought it was just okay.It starts off good but drags in spots,it does have good cgi though.

i rented it down in Florida and found that it was better than i thought it would be. funny it was supposed to take place same time night but only trouble with that there was no INTERNET back then. i hope he begins to work on the sequal to land of the dead now.

I like the idea of both Night and Diary taking place at the same time, and having the original radio broadcast from Night in the background of Diary was cool to hear. The thing is Diary of the Dead takes place on and during Halloween (the fall). Night of the Living Dead takes place in the spring when the clocks get set 1 hour ahead. The opening conversation is about the time change and extra sunlight. But I still like the idea.

Diary was alright, worth watching if you're a romero/zombie fan. Better than Land imo. But nowhere close to the original Trilogy. Classic Dawn imo is still the best zombie movie ever made.

The actors in diary seemed unnatural. Good idea... but I think that Spanish flick REC executed the concept much better.
