Universal Studios Home Entertainment first wave of Blu-ray Discs will be part of The Mummy (1999) franchise promotion.
In exciting news, USHE will give each film previously released on HD DVD all-new high-definition versions of the film along with newly remastered lossless audio!
Nearly all of USHE's BDs will contain dts HD Master Audio (unless space precludes it) for the main language track!
The Mummy (1999) is expected to include all the bonus materials from the previous special edition DVDs plus new materials consisting of "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Spotlight on Location," "An Army to Rule the World Part 1," and "Unraveling The Legacy Of The Mummy" featurettes.
The Mummy Returns will also include all of the bonus materials from the previous special edition DVD along with the newly produced "An Army to Rule the World Part II," and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Spotlight on Location" & "Unraveling The Legacy Of The Mummy" featurettes.
The Scorpion King will include all of the special features from the special edition DVD plus more materials currently to be announced.
All three films will feature new 1080p 2.35 VC-1 widescreen versions with remastered dts HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtracks.
Retail prices are slated to be $34.95 US but may change. Search for them July 22nd.
