Will Sweeney Todd be coming out on Blu-ray? I saw a nice package at Costco with the Special 2-disc edition plus a nice photo book at a good price. But, it was Standard Disc.

Eventually it will, yes, once Paramount gets the high def ball rolling again, some time later this year.

Warner Home Video Japan and Warner Home Video UK have announced their Blu-ray Disc releases for Sweeney Todd: The Demon of Fleet Street.
This BD includes all the bonus material from the two disc special edtition DVD plus Dolby TrueHD English 5.1 Surround.
On top of that, the UK BD will be housed in a steelbook package.

If Paramount is smart, they should simply relabel and repackage the Warner BDs to cut costs and get the BD out faster.

That's the bummer about Blu-ray at this point. Not all the special features and not many super-special packages with collectables, etc. Maybe they'll get the ball, rolling for Christmas...

Well, the UK and Japanese BDs are all region discs. Warner Home Video International follows Warner Home Video North America's lead in omitting region coding.
The UK arrives in a beautiful Steelbook package that is pretty collectable.

WHV US has released Bonny and Clyde in collectable hardcover book packaging for the BD. You get concise and informative liner notes, rare photos, and the disc in one easy to store package. Natural Born Killers is the next title to be packaged this way.
Best Buy also had an exclusive box set of Alvin and The Chipmunks that had the BD and three plush versions of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. Futureshop had an exclusive Steelbook for I Am Legend.
Best Buy also included premium iPod skins with its copies of Juno on BD and Circuit City included a bonus DVD with the BDs for Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer.
