Sorry but I can't do this as an announcement since it goes against my belief that literacy is more important than movies.
Fox Home Entertainment and MGM Home Entertainment have created the next best thing to a "Book on Tape."
Coming in time for the school season is MGM's Cliff Notes library.
Now students who just "rent the movie" to do a book report now have a cheat sheet to help them fill in the liberties taken with adaptations.
Nine of MGM Pictures' films will be repackaged on DVD with the Cliff Notes version of the novel included. That's right, instead of including the whole book like Sony Pictures Home Entertainment did about two years ago, Fox is just including the light version.
Look for Anna Karenina, Henry V, Inherit The Wind, Jane Eyre, Les Miserables, Lord of The Flies, Moby ****, Of Mice and Men, and Wuthering Heights in new Cliff Notes packaging on July 24th. Retail is $14.98 US each.
