Hello,

I'm Sam, I work for a DVD promotions company called Cult Labs and we promote horror, martial arts and cult film releases.

As part of this, we visit forums and start threads about the films we're working on, normally press release info, images and clips. We also run occasional competitions.

Our latest movie is Fireball, a new Thai action movie that mixes Basketball and Muay Thai fight.

I don't like invading forums without permission and I don't flood forums with masses of spam. We a small concern and work on a modest number of titles at a time. I use forums to get feedback on films and welcome a good discussion.

We started out as fans/obsessives about cult movies and passionately believe in promoting marginal movies. I collect DVDs myself so I want to share info about cool releases without alienating anyone.

What do you think?

Hmm, I'm not sure you are real or a spammer. Either way, not much action on these boards. Welcome if you are the real deal.

Yes, I'm a real guy, thanks for the warm welcome.

I'll put up a Fireball thread shortly then. I liked this movie although hardcore Kung Fu fans had reservations but then, they obsess over accurate moves and realistic fights whereas I like spectacle and Wirework.

Hmmm. Where to tow the line. I am fine with this thread but the one you want to start sounds like it is heading towards spam or trying to get free advertisement. Lets just keep the discussion to this thread but try to keep the self promotion out of it.

I promise no self promotion.

Cult films need to be shared with true film fans because the multiplex culture is sapping the life out of the movies at the moment and the advent of 3D means that real films with a little grit are going to lose out to films about giant robots hitting each other or perhaps Flintstones 3-D (who want's to put a bet on that we see this in the next three years?).

I'm starting work on Thirst next week, which is a Korean post-modern Vampire yarn which should be an easy sell with True Blood, Twilight and other voguish bloodsucking entertainment being so popular.

Point taken about the threads, I'll play softly softly and just tell you guys what I'm working on with a few links, in this thread only, rather than extravagant and wordy advertorial.

So....

For more info on FIREBALL.

You check check out the Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/fireballmovie

or see clips here: http://www.youtube.com/user/cultlabs

Films are my life. When I'm not working I organize screenings in Cardiff for free just to get cool cult movies into the eyes of the innocent.
