Warner Home Video has revealed that The Exorcist will be coming to Blu-ray Disc in 2010. The Blu-ray Disc will include both the 1973 version and the 2000 "The Version You Never Saw" version (hmmm. Something odd about that sentence. Oh well.)
Here is the kicker. Both versions have had new transfer made recently whihc were supervised and approved by Director William Friedkin and Director of Photography Owen Roizman.
No specific date was given nor were any more details released about the BD.

Evidently, both transfers were finished last month so take that into account along everything that has to be done to create the Blu-ray Disc.
Add to that, possible new special features including a new documentary with new interviews that has to be completed. That would explain the delay.

Are you sure you have a combo drive?
The later LG drives are now Blu Ray only
Or, check you have the latest firmware on the drive
