The first Bollywood film to be produced by a Western Hollywood studio is coming to DVD this May 5th.
A loose Bollywood remake of Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle, Chandni Chowk to China was released to a number of selected theaters in the US.
For those unfamiliar with Bollywood style, all of their films incorporate musical numbers within the story. Bollywood films also adhere to strict guidelines about content.
Chandni Chowk to China infuses Bollywood's musical heritage with Hong Kong's martial arts lineage. The story of a simple cook mistaken for a reincarnation of Liu Shengh byt residents of an opressed village.
The disc is presented in anamorphic/16x9 with Dolby Digital Hindi 5.1 Suround sound and English subtitles. Sadly, for a film of this precedence, the only extra are deleted scenes.
