There used to be a few more women at the DVDR&HD Forum. (Seems like a lot of folks abandoned ship after we got the new format.)

I don't know why, but a lot of folks including girls, gals & women left during the switch to this forum.

Maybe its the color? I don't dig it & I'm a dude/rocker.

We need to start a recruit program.. Maybe Altaira shall lead it. :)

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the color of the new board.
Looks orange to me. Does not look good. But besides
that, the board is very nice.

At one time I wanted to be Supreme Moderator of this
board. I would have made a good ruler. But, too late.

I've read this site and forum since the late 1990's when I first got
on the web with WebTV. One of the first sites I put on my desktop
when I got a computer was DVDReview.com. Been reading this site
and posting on this forum, under one name or another, for a long time.
I don’t know, but I might be moving on. I need to move on. All the sites
I used to read, I don’t want to read anymore. I have hope tho. I have
faith. Faith, it’s small in me but I can feel it growing, little by little.

Yeah, it is eerily quiet here anymore. I found DVD Review and love the Cult & Horror section especially. But, now it is slower than a teamster on overtime there.

When I first joined, there were at least two other women here. Valerie and Lily.

Yeah, I think that after about the 3rd schism that there has been a steady bleed off of all the people that used to come here and now it's just us few. There might be more people who do a looky-loo, but never post? Oh well. I've been here since early 1997 I think, about the time we bought our first dvd player. I left for a while, but eventually came back about a year later as Brutus, an old nickname from High School. Guido is a benevolent dictator and I hope I have made some good "online" friends here and want to know what you are all getting etc. For a while, it seemed to me that there were a few posters who were dilligent in driving out people that didn't share their particular religious and/or political views. Thanks to them, I don't share mine anymore - who wants to deal with that crap when you came to talk about dvds anyway? I rememeber Wally and a few others went off to some other forum and I looked in on it a few times. Before that, Richard(?) and Son(?) broke off and took a lot of people somewhere - I dunno, I wasn't invited to that one. Part of it now might be that dvds are so ubiquitous that it seems silly to some to talk to collectors? The emphasis may seem to be on the format here due to the name of the site and not on the content??? Just a thought.

And yeah, I used to post here all the time, pretty much every day, but life, an almost 3 year old daughter, and work, just take up more and more of my time nowadays.
Now I tend to check in about once, maybe twice a week, and don't always post when I do. Plus I moderate at another site so that tends to take up most of my posting time.

I only post here and over at the Gorezone.net forums (everything horror related). Been posting regularly on both forums for at least 8 years! Apart from posting every now and then at the xbox forums for help with a game or something.

Thanks for remembering me Altaira. :) I haven't really been on here since the 2004 elections, not that that is a good reason to come to a DVD forum...

When the forum switched we could only register with our only email address. Our internet service provider doesn't have a login page, so I couldn't make a new email address (this forum doesn't accept hotmail or whatever), until we got a new computer in which I could use Outlook to make a new one. Yadda yadda.. anyway, I finally created a username at this new forum because I would never want to post under my husband's name.

So here's another girl. We'll see how much time I have to post here, probably none, but if anything exciting should happen now I can chime in. :)
