No word on any of em. Halloween (I think Lionsgate & Disney) would be BD exclusive. Friday the 13th would be released on both from Paramount & The Nightmare on Elm Street films are distributed by the "last mega" studio to support either format. New Line Cinema, which they have yet to release anything.

Halloween is still with Anchor Bay, actually, and it will be one of the premier titles they will release in high definition once they decide what to do in terms of high definition formats. Right now, they are waiting out the mudslinging between the formats.
Paramount's Friday the 13th movies could show up some time but I honestly do not think they have priority at this time. So if they ever come to high def they will see HD-DVD and Blu-Ray releases.
The Nightmare on Elm Street is a New Line franchise and New Line has not entered the high def market either. When they will, they will most likely support both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray, being part of the Warner group.
So, as you can see, none of these films will make a high def showing any time soon, unless Paramount should decide to add "Friday" to their Halloween line-up.

Might they be waiting for 2009 to release a 25th Anniversary edition of A Nightmare on Elm Street in all formats (SD & HD) (with a box set of all movies, probably)?

Starz Home Entertainment has just announced support for the BD camp. I never heard of them but they control the home video catalog of Anchor Bay Entertainment, so Halloween may not be that far off.

Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't check the "correct" section (Blu-Ray) of this forum before posting this, than I saw it there after. :o

I just wish we could see films like Friday The 13th VI and VII released 'uncut' with all the deleted footage (that you can currently only view in crappy quality and as an 'extra') put back into the actual films. I'm starting to think this is never gonna happen...
