I'm a big Joss Wedon fan and did manage to see Serenity once and liked it. I was disappointed at the lack of a DTS track, though. I was about to post that I'd buy this version if it includes a DTS track, but after reading that not even the HD-DVD version has one, I've lost all hope. I miss Buffy...:(

The new R1 special edition does have dts 5.1 surround sound plus a new cast commentary.

The 1.5mbps Lossy Dolby Digital Plus track on the HD DVD is the best you are gonna hear Serenity. I doubt even the dts track offered from the SE will match the DD+ track.

I don't have an HD-DVD player and seeing as it is pretty much out of the picture, I don't intend on buying one. I'll settle for the SE now that it's been confirmed that it does include a DTS track and new commentary! I never saw the Firefly series, but now plan on buying it whenever i come across it. Do you guys recommend it?

To bad it's Universal and they're HD-DVD only, othervise I would have gone for the HD version.

The only bad thing about the series is how p****d off you will get that Fox cancelled it so early. :mad:
