I'd like to get my hands on the 5-disc. I wonder how long they're gonna last. I should pro'lly order one now from Amazon.

gothamknight, why's it gonna be an expensive 2nd half of 07?
What else are you expecting to get?

Because of the limited number, figure I jump on the opportunity before the pre-orders were stopped and I placed my pre-order through Amazon for the 5-disc! Thanks, jspartan!

Yes, Warner Brothers is releasing the 5-disc briefcase edition in both HD and Blu-ray. However, I haven't heard a price set for them yet.

Ok cool. I checked Amazon and it only had the DVD for pre-order.

Blammo, along with my usual dose of movies, there's a ton of xbox 360 games coming out. Stranglehold; Bioshock; Grand Theft Auto; Halo 3 to name a few. I hear they just announced the original Star Trek series on HD-DvD with the updated FX. There's also some STar Wars pieces I've been waiting to come out.

Overall, just lots and lots of stuffs.

I'm definitely going for the 5 disc BR. I remember an austrailian site (cant remember which one) announcing prematurely the set over there and there was zero mention about it coming out over here.

..The 4 dvd set is good enough for me..nice to have the other 3 versions on 1 dvd..the 5 disc will be hard to get hold of unless they make a lot of them..

I'm into the 5-disc strictly for the "workprint". I am ethusiastic about what's being offered in the "briefcase" as a whole, but, the "workprint" is what I'm focused on watching first.

Actually, I could't tell ya. I have a workprint dvd of Apocalypse Now that is 5 and 1/2 hours long, so, I'm thinkin this is a longer, rough cut of the film.
Hopefully with alot more stuff cut out of the 3 other versions....
